We are a group of seniors who are designing a device that will supply continuous air flow to enable speech in individuals with tracheostomy tubes. This device will provide these patients with the freedom of verbal communication.
This semester-long project consists of major and minor steps that will ultimately lead to a prototype. To achieve this goal, our group will be collaborating with the faculty in the Department of Biomedical Engineering as well as with a clinical expert. This website documents the details of our project from the conception of the idea to the manufacturing of the device.
We invite you to take a closer look at our project and follow our progress throughout the course of the semester!
